Busan’s plan to prevent lonely deaths
Vision: Reliable community safety net. Busan, your helping hands
Goal: Preventing lonely deaths through personalized support and community-led services for the socially isolated
Initiatives
Objective
- Identifying socially isolated households and building management systems to support them
Task
- Reinforcing the system to identify socially isolated households by being on a constant alert
- Classifying and monitoring the risk groups by level of seriousness
- Conducting research on lonely deaths for relevant policy decision and implementation
Solution
- Mobilizing honorary social welfare officials
- Real-time tracking and monitoring using big data
- Studying social isolation and loneliness, learning, and implementing solutions to address the lessons
※ classInitiative to prevent lonely deaths was set up in 2020.
A remote monitoring system, which can detect risks in real time, is immediately required..
- This system is necessary to supplement the existing plan to stop unattended deaths.
Non-contact monitoring of biological signals
○ Biological signals can be gathered in a non-contact manner through bio-radar systems. - Biological signals can be collected regardless of patients’ or humans’ movement. - Users can choose and adjust the range (space) of the detecting bio-signals. - Optimized signals can be achieved with adaptive signal filtering technology.

Product proposal 1.
Users can obtain data from two independent radar modules, or from one module that radiates in different directions, while taking advantage of the cross-correlation of each data.

Product proposal 2
The configuration is same to the product proposal 1, but it is installed on the ceiling or walls of the hospital room. An antenna beam is directed toward a particular direction.

Non-contact bio-signal sensing device
*Employing self-developed main chips and main boards *Dedicated antennas *Adopting self-developed signal processing software to strengthen the protection of personal information
